Biomass is front runner

Within the "green" heat production the power production from biomass with a portion of over 90 per cent is still ahead. Biological gas facilities feed the produced energy from plant residual substances, green plants or liquid manure into power supply systems and make them usable for the consumer.

According to statements of the German biogas association, the portion of the electricity produced by biogas may rise up to 17 per cent of the total power market. Also the consumer can use biomass as fuel and may produce heat together with wooden pallet. Exactly like the old oil boiler, the combustor is coated automatically.

The problem thereby is the high fine dust output, particularly by older plants. Modern combustors cause less emissions.
